Final Post

This is the final post about the first project. I want to talk about how the entrepreneurial idea come out of my mind. First, i want to talk about the origin of the idea. I went to have a travel to Qingdao, which is one of the most beautiful cities in China, and i found that it was very hard to travel. There were a lot of people at the destination and it was very hard to get a train ticket or plane ticket during holiday. So i wanted to establish a network for travel.

But i noticed that there were many websites doing this kind of services. So i want to make some different. At the same time, i found that the social medias like Face book and twitter, they are just word based. And some times they don’t meet our demand to find where our friends are and they are not safe enough for everybody can look at the information you write or the pictures you post online. So i got an idea to connect social media and travel together.

Then i got an idea to set up a social media which linked with 3D map so that my users can watch their friends on the 3D map directly. I think that it would be a good idea because people may be sick of today’s social media which there are only words and pictures on the network. So i want to set up a new kind of social media. People can view their friends’ status directly.

After that, i thought i should add something new into the website. So i got the idea to make a system of the cities. I could let my users set up the virtual cities online so that everybody can view these cities. In this way, people do not need to find the group they interested in for something they really aware of. In contrary, they can just follow the cities they aware of and get the last news from the ones they concerned about. I found that the traditional social media divides people from the group they like, and what i will do is to divide people with cities.

Finally, my idea came out. I just want to give people a different way to use the social media. I think my website and my way to use the social media will of course be a new experience. And it is not so difficult for me to realize my idea. Today, the Google map is a very modern example. Maybe i can connect my website with Google map so that my website can just start up. Then, with the number of users increasing, my website can become an individual one. I wish my website may come true one day.

Lecture 4

It will be a website that give you more than the social activity which based on 3D technology. Everybody can find something they interested in from my website.

Lecture: I think that my website will be safer than the other websites. I will use the technology which similar to the Google Wallet. My users will have an experience to safe their privacies. They will not need to print their user’s name to log in their accounts. I think that five years later, people can use the camera to monitor their faces and log in their accounts.

I think the technology to monitor one’s face to verify a person will soon become a popular technology. And it of course is a safe way for users. I will develop a new software so that people even do not need to establish a new user’s name. Because the software can remember the user’s face and verify the user later. The users only need to think a name for their friends finding them.

Finally I want to talk about the privacy when use the website.  I think when we use the website like Facebook, it is really not safe. I can find any information about a person on Facebook if he or she use Facebook. I want to establish a system so that people can divide their friends to different groups. And pull the information to different groups so that person can control who to view their information and status. And I think it is really a time to change our ways of using social media.

Lecture about OS in my idea

In this lecture I want to talk about the operating system using on my website. Of course my website needs an operating system to run. And a good OS is very essential to me, because my website will be 3D based so that I need a strong OS to running my website. I think I will select MS Windows and IOS because these are very nice and many people use these two OS so my website will easy to spread.

Then I think I want the OS to be stronger, for example, the Windows is now support 3D, and I want it to be better. And I hope that the IOS will support it as well. Then I can develop a software to run in the GUI so that my users can log in my website directly.

In the end, I want to talk about the use of my website on the smart phone. Not like the word based Facebook, my website will be 3D based. So I really need to develop a good App for my website. But it may not be very hard, look at the google earth, it is 3D as well. Since there is an good example, that will be easier for me. And now the 4G is more and more common, so it will benefit me a lot to run my website on the smart phone with the Android, IOS or Windows OS. 

Blogger review

This blogger‘s name is Android Authority and this paragraph is about Could Android be on a downward track? This blogger is all about the Android. It introduces us all of the devices and information of Android.

This paragraph is about the future of Android. The writer said that it is a difficult time for the Android because the other companies like Microsoft and Apple released their lasted OS which is very nice. And the writer thought that Android should make some different or it may be beat by its opponents.

But i really don’t agree with his opinion. I think Android made a very good IOS for smart phones. Though MS developed a very good IOS, win8, as well and i have tried this gorgeous IOS on my computer, I think Android’s ice-cream sandwich is better and my phone is using that IOS right now. Then i want to talk about something about IOS6. Apple spent a lot of money and human on this IOS, but in the behind Jobs age, Apple has lost their biggest advantage of creation. Since IOS6 has changed a lot from IOS5, but it does make many stupid errors in this IOS. In addition, the latest iphone5 didn’t change a lot from iphone4S so that the users of Apple wouldn’t be satisfied. On contrary, Android did very well on everything, every new version of its IOS did improve a lot. The computing ability improved a lot every time. And the Ice-cream sandwich did very good. I think today, Android is the best OS in the most popular 4 OS. And the writer of this paragraph didn’t concern about the inner improvement of Android.

All in all, I really don’t agree with the writer and I support Android a lot.

Summery: My entrepreneurial idea is about a new kind of social media. It will be totally different from facebook or twitter. It won’t be characters based or picture based. My website will be running by the cloud computing. The cloud computing will help me running the website a lot, of course. When users use my website, they will not download the data from my servers, instead, they will download from cloud, somewhere on the internet. The new technology will help me run my website better for i needn't to care much about the hard drive. On the contrary, i can improve my website. I am sure that my website will use a lot of space to store the user's data because it will be based on 3D.

Then in the second paragraph, i want to talk about my plan to use the new technology. Since 2006, the cloud computing is invented, the world began to concern about the new technology. And Amazon began to provide the cloud storing. I think it will be more convenient to use in several years. I will put my data on cloud and users can just download the data from cloud. It will provent me from a large problem of saving the huge data of my website. Thanks for the new technology that bring us the new way to use the internet.

In the end, i want to talk about a new idea to run my website. Since my website need a lot of space to store the data and i need to pay a lot for the space in the cloud. Maybe i can have a further use of the cloud computing. I can just get data from the users who are online and send the data to others. I can save a lot of money by using this new idea because if there are enough users online, then other users can download the data from the users who are online instead of from my storage in the cloud. Just like the peer-to-peer download technology.

Competitor 1 Overview: The most difference between my ideal website and Amtrak is that my website is not emphasized on the travel. My website will concentrate on the social community, which means that the users can post whatever they want to say about their favorite areas and then other users who do live in the area or is interested in this area can watch the poster and make comments. So in my ideal model, the website is more likely to the social media, but it divides people to different areas. I think people do not have much time to travel around the world nowadays, but they do want to know or learn another culture in a different area or country. So they can simply do it via my website! They can learn what the people talk about in the area and find the interesting place in that city. Since my website will be based on 3D engine, they can even have a look around the place!

Competitor 2 Overview: Though my ideal website is definite by me as a social media, compared with the most popular social media, my website will be totally different! I think that the most people on the facebook are who you don’t know very much so that you are not supposed to talk with them via facebook. Maybe you just want to talk with your close friends on facebook, so why don’t you use text message or MSN. As we all know, many people cannot concentrate well during work time because they think about their facebook or twitter or anything else all the time. I think it is just a waste of time. But on my website, you do not need to add friends, what you are required to do is to choose your own area or city or just the city you interested in. Then you can just check your account when you are free because all of the message which will be pushed to your account is about the interesting things happened in the area, and you do not to care about whether others leave you massages or something you do care on the social media like facebook because the users do not know each other and the only thing to make them together is the areas.

In the end, I want to summarize my idea. In my ideal model, my website will be a new kind of social media. It will be different from the social media like facebook or Chinese Renren. It will have a new way to receive the information. I think the interest is not reliable, people may change it every day. The friendship is not reliable, two gays may break any time. But the love for your hometown will never change. And people always say that someplace is the only destination in their lives, so the website will attract users by their love to the earth. And my website is not a travel agent either. I won’t provide tickets or anything else related to travel on my website. Maybe I will give some links of other webs. The only thing I will do is to provide a 3D based interface so that users can check the information on the fashionable interface or just take a virtual travel on my website.

Lecture: This lecture will related to the hardware and the system unit. As we all know, the computers today are very powerful and will become much more powerful in the future. I think if we just use the PC at home, we cannot even have full use of our computers. The CPU is more powerful than we need, the RAM is more powerful as well. And it is a waste of the computer and technology. But my website will change this situation. It will be 3D based and all of the world will be divided by the place that you interested in. 3D tech can easily attract people to use my new kind of social media and it will also make full use of our computers.

 

In my opinion, my idea can only come true in today’s computer science. I cannot even think about use 3D tech before 20 years. But the development of computer give me the chance. Computers become more and more powerful so that we can do anything we want in our computers. And of course it won’t be so difficult to develop a brand new 3D based website which contains the maps all over the world. So that I appreciate today’s technology for it bring us so many opportunities to make our ideas come true.

 

Finally, let’s talk about how today’s computer tech will help me to attract my users. First, the GPS can tell users where their friends are and we can tag the positions on the map(the map will be 3D, or user can set it to 2D). So that they can find their friends directly. And I can use this technology to make money. I can tell the shops to make commercials on my website in order to attract customers around their shops. Furthermore, my website will be divided by cities, so I can push the news happens in the position of the city that my users interested in. In this way, they even don’t need to open another page to check the news. After that, the basic part of my website and is also the original idea of my website, I think people can have a virtual travel on my website. Nowadays, people can travel all over the world easily, but maybe they don’ t have enough time or cannot afford it. So that they can come to my website and add the cities they want to go or interested in, and look around the cities and find the comments on this cities and the residents’ leaving messages.

Entrepreneurial Idea Overview: My entrepreneurial idea is to create a website which divided the world to area to area. So that people all around can find their hometowns and the area place they interest in. And the people who want to travel to the other place, they can go to the website and find some information about the place and who cannot afford traveling can easily have a virtual travel in this website.

Lecture: I have checked some hot social networks like facebook, twitter or renren, these networks always divide people by their interests or major or work or school. But many time people even want to know what happened around them. For example, if a LA person move to NY, he can easily used to NY via this network. But if he still go to facebook, he will learn little about NY, because the majority of his friends are in LA.

Then i want to talk about how i have this idea. This summer i want to travel to The Tai mountain which is one of the most famous mountains in China, but i found it is hard to find much information about my trip. After my trip, i think that if there was network that can help me, my trip would be much more wonderful. So i got this idea.

I think my idea will be based on customers' data. I won't base my website either on words or pictures, my idea will be based on 3D. I want to set up a new form of the social media, people can see the 3D world on the computer, and find their friends directly. I think the computers today is far more super than before, and this lead to a lot of surplus. So if i can make a 3D website, the website will make great use of the surplus. At the beginning, i will set up some areas that i know well such as syracuse and shanghai. Then the network will attract more people from syracuse or shanghai, then they can set up the cities or area they know well. As we know, the Internet attract the users much faster than the traditional media. So that won't be long before my network to cover the world. After that i can make a new  program to make an app that people can have a virtual travel on my network. I think this will be the greatest part of my idea. Image that if an old man want to travel to the Tai mountain, then he can use my network to make a virtual one and even take a photo via the app. That is my lecture about my Entrepreneurial Idea. The main concept is the speed of the Internet spread and the modern tech on the computers.

I want to set up a new website that people can share their travelling experience with people all over the world. Compared with the online travel forum, this website will be more than travelling. The residence can also go to the website to find something fun.

I compare this idea with twitter. Twitter divides people by their interests, but my ideal website divides people by where they come from. They can put anything about their area to the website and their idea about their areas on the website. And the other residents can see the ideas and the travelers can find the information about that place. Further more, those who don’t afford travelling can also travel virtually in this website.

I get this idea because last time I went to travel I found it is hard to find some information about destination. Besides, the information I found was very diverse so that I spent a lot of time reading that. If I open my website, than people will easy to find the information and plan their travels conveniently.
